Absilion tests IP based social alarms |

Swedish Institute of Assistive Technology carries out on behalf of the government, a program of development and awareness, which aims to support municipalities in enhancing security in the social alarm services in connection with the ongoing introduction of digital technology.
IT Norrbotten has been contracted to participate in the important work of ensuring a smooth transition to the new technology. In one of the IT Norrbotten structured testing environment, the digital social alarms are tested for example concerning:
- Robustness / stability during normal operation
- Resistance to temporary disruption of communication and power supply
- Resistance to interference in the IP communications
- ISP effects on the alarm function
- Customer premises equipments effects on the alarm function
Absilion in turn has been commissioned by IT Norrbotten to contribute with expertise in testing of IP-based networks. The test system Netrounds plays a central role in the tests that include everything from social alarm function and stability during normal operation, the stability and function of different types of disruptions in IP communications.
